Type in /npcscan after you are logged in. That will bring up the main menu. There are several menu points what we are interested in, but the most important one is the Search menu. Select it at the left side and you shall see this menu:

I dont know how big npc/scan range is but it must be huge. It sounds off that the scourge giant has spawned at the top of Icecrown even though Im in Dalaran, and 5 times now its said Time Lost Protodrake is up but no way in hell could I find him.On a good note though, since Cataclysm launched Northrend is practically deserted, so u have more chance to tame the rares before someone kills them. I followed your advice , downloaded NPC scan and then forgot about it. I recently ditched enchanting for a gathering profession (Mining as I need to feed the ore to my hungry Engineer) so was flying around ZD mining ores when BUM-DADA-BUM-DADA-BUM WHOOP WHOOP!!

Remember that addons create an additional load on your computer, so if you have a weak computer, we do not advise you to install a large number of addons at once. Try to limit yourself to the most necessary (DBM, Recount, etc.).

Grundsätzlich funktionieren beide Addons nach dem selben Prinzip: Sie scannen die unmittelbare Umgebung nach raren Gegnern ab. Dies geschieht anhand von IDs. Hey ich habe mall eine frage ich nutze dieses Addon jetz seit 2 Tagen und ich habe ein problem ich fliege die ruten ab aber weiß nie genau ob das Monster überhaupt da ist gibt es ein addon das die Monster (NPCs) in Nodend und der Scherbenwelt scant und mir sagt welche da sind und welche nicht. Eventuell war der NPC schon in deinem Cache-Ordner und die Warnung ging deshalb nicht los. Zur Not installier noch mal die neueste Version von NPCScan und Overlay. Jetzt hab ich aber noch ne frage ich habe silverdragon und map overlay installiert das mit der map funktioniert auch einwandfrei. jetzt kann man ja bei silverdragon data importieren. wenn ich dann rumfliege auf den routen oder auf den flecken zeigt er mir dann an ob einer da ist oder muss ich imemr wieder den cache löschen (auf den button darunter) um dann wieder neu die rares zu importieren (quasi ich meine ob man das alle 10 meter ingame machen muss damit er die findet oder es einmal macht und fliegt durch die gegend und wenn der rare in der nähe ist dann BLING)

was kann ich machen, damit npc scan aeonaxx zurück setzt hab ihna uch schon aus der liste gelöscht und neu eingegeben für die suche. naja, hat er ihn aber wieder im cache als schon gefunden
